Doc for a Day

Doc for a Day workshops are designed to inspire and encourage middle school and high school students, particularly those from rural communities and/or underrepresented backgrounds, to consider medicine or other healthcare careers. Doc for a Day events feature a mix of presentations/panel discussions and hands-on activity stations such as suturing, ultrasound and CPR.

Hands-On Health Care

Hands-On Health Care is a one-day workshop designed to increase awareness, interest and understanding of health careers available in Idaho. Students participate in hands-on activities while learning about the pathway to becoming a health professional.

AHEC of a Class! 

North Idaho AHEC loves to partner with Idaho’s educators! We can coordinate and/or deliver classroom presentations, including health career spotlights featuring local professionals, panel discussions with medical and/or other health professions students, and/or customized presentations that provide an overview of education pathways for careers in healthcare. Presentations can be in person (regionally) or via Zoom.
